Anthropophagus: The Grim Reaper is the Joe D'Amato classic where the titular monstrous cannibal consumes his own intestines - after he's devoured a pregnant woman's foetus. These scenes were more than sufficient to put the film on the UK's Video Nasties list in the early 1980s, where its reputation was cemented in the minds of VHS gorehounds everywhere.

Tisa Farrow - Mia's younger sister - had made Zombie Flesh Eaters a year earlier, and Anthropophagus was almost her last released film, before retiring from the screen and becoming a nurse. The monstrous cannibal was played by Luigi Montefiori who appeared under the stage name of George Eastman in everything from Django Shoots First (1966), Fellini Satyricon (1969), Baba Yaga - The Devil Witch (1973) to The New Barbarians (1983) and beyond.
