Death Game, unofficially remade in 1980 in Spain as Viciosas al desnudo (Vicious and Nude) and again by Eli Roth as Knock Knock (2015), this has become a minor cult classic despite, rather than because of, tensions on set. A kind of mirror image of Death Weekend (1976), two psychotic nymphets invade the home of a random married man, then seduce and keep him captive for a weekend of terror. The film was finished in 1975, but an investigation into its finances delayed its release for two years.

Producer Peter S. Traynor bought the rights to the film to use as his directorial debut, He kicked the original director off the film after shooting started and took over. He had form – back in 1974 he did the same thing with Curtis Hanson on Evil Town (released 1977) – that’s L.A. Confidential (1997) Curtis Hanson. Traynor however, never directed a feature again.
