Invaders from Mars (1986) UK Quad Poster

 At least someone in the publicity department was aware of William Cameron Menzies' film. This poster image is probably the closest Tobe Hooper got to the studio-bound 1953 original, and has exactly the kind of unreality that made the original such a perennial favourite. Jimmy Hunt, the little boy in the first appears as the sheriff in this, with some playful references in the script. Indeed, it's probably Hooper's best ever cast; Karen Black and her son Hunter Carson, Timothy Bottoms, Louise Fletcher, James Karen and Bud Cort.
