One of the earliest examples of a slasher film, Sergio Martino's fifth giallo Torso also takes certain Agatha Christie plot elements to tell the story of a killer targeting female university students. When one of them (Kendall) half remembers seeing someone wearing the same kind of necktie the killer uses, she becomes the next target. The only solution is to go to her family's remote villa in the mountains with a few friends. What could possibly go wrong?

Martino racks up the tension in the final 30 minutes, aided by sumptuous photography by Giancarlo Ferrando - All the Colours of the Dark (1972), Island of Mutations (1979), The Scorpion with Two Tails (1982), and music from brothers Guido and Maurizio De Angelis, who scored another ten of Martino's films.
