Conquest of the Earth - Battlestar Galactica III (1980) UK Quad Poster

From the ten episodes of the Galactica 1980 series, another feature was created from the footage to make Conquest of the Earth, the third and final Galactica film. However, with only Lorne Greene from the original cast, and essentially being a low-budget version of Star Trek IV without the time travel, it failed to convince. It also resorted to using stock footage from Earthquake, as the Battlestar Galactica and its motley fleet of ships finally locate planet Earth, with the Cylons in hot pursuit.

Captain Troy and Lieutenant Dillon are sent to obtain help by gathering the world’s top scientists to defend Earth against the Cylon invasion. In between learning about Earth culture and getting arrested, Troy and Dillon are dispatched to find a crashed Cylon Raider, and discover that the Cylons have stumbled into a Halloween party; more of a Jason or Terminator scenario than Galactica.
