Hand of Night (1968) UK Quad Poster #New

In Frederic Goode's enigmatic Eastern horror, a widowed and suicidal British archaeologist is seduced by a Moorish vampire princess, while searching for a vanished acquaintance in Morocco. It's as strange as the plot suggests, and is an undersung British vampire classic. TV writer Bruce Stewart, best remembered for the lion's share of Timeslip episodes (1970-1971), creates a dreamy atmosphere, although perhaps too much exposition is dialogue rather than visuals.

In a remarkably prescient way, the poster seems to depict Father Spiletto (Martin Benson) from The Omen (1976).
