Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child (1989) UK Quad Poster #New

One of the 80's final slashers, Director Stephen Hopkins went for a darker tone than in previous entries, as Krueger enters the baby's dreams of pregnant Alice Johnson (who had first appeared in Nightmare on Elm Street IV: The Dream Master (1988) in order to claim more victims. As usual, tensions between the filmmakers and production company and the MPAA resulted in a choppy final cut, with various scenes and gore shots reinserted for VHS release.

Hopkins started in Australia with the slasher Dangerous Game (1987), and went on to Predator 2 (1990), Judgement Night (1993) and the ill-fated Lost in Space (1998).
