An ingenious black comedy thriller, taking its cue from Hitchcock’s The Trouble With Harry (1955) and possibly an influence on such films as April Fool’s Day (1986) with its game-playing and upending plot twists. A fraternity known as The Delts decide to make two pledges run down a mountain in nothing but jockstraps. But Barney (Charlie Martin Smith) falls and breaks his leg. When Craig (Jeff East) manages to return with help, Barney has frozen to death. The Delts go to great lengths to keep the nature of his death a secret, by keeping the body on ice, and creating an elaborate scheme to make everyone think Barney's still alive, before they restage his death the following weekend…

First time director and producer Douglas Curtis left directing for a producing career, such as The Philadelphia Experiment (1984), Black Moon Rising (1986) and Freddy vs. Jason (2003). No surprises that frequent screenwriting partners David Ketchum and Bruce Shelly have numerous TV credits, including Scooby-Doo and The Funky Phantom. Unlike the alternative title below, this poster depicts a more preppy image of the story.
