One on Top of the Other (1969) UK 1/2 Quad Poster
A 1/2 Quad poster for Lucio Fulci's first giallo film, Perversion Story, or Una sull'altra. In a convoluted plot, which adds elements of Vertigo (1958) and prefigures the erotic twists of Basic Instinct (1992), a wealthy doctor ends up on death row for the murder of his asthmatic wife, even though she has been apparently resurrected as a stripper. Fulci considered it one of his best scripts, and along with Argento's The Bird With the Crystal Plumage (1970) it heralded the start of the golden period of the giallo film.
Composer Riz Ortolani was already a known quantity in the UK and USA, providing the score for Anthony Asquith's The Yellow Rolls-Royce (1964), and big-hitters like Anzio and Buona Sera, Mrs. Campbell (both 1968), hence his poster credit. He went on to compose the scores for Fulci's Don't Torture a Duckling (1972) and Deodato's Cannibal Holocaust (1980).
