Survive! (1976) UK Quad Poster
A poster that gets short shrift from many fans, mainly because they don't notice what the image within the text is actually of - It's as close as the real-life story can get to pure exploitation, and René Cardona's version holds up against the vastly bigger budget 1993 effort. His cast of unknowns adds to the tension - who will survive and what will become of them? - is equally appropriate here.
It's helped by a fantastic score from Gerald Fried, who worked with Kubrick from his first documentary Day of the Fight (1951) to Killer's Kiss (1955), The Killing (1956) and Paths of Glory (1957) all the way to exploitation classics like The Baby (1973) and Vigilante Force (1976).
