Night of the Eagle (1962) US Insert Poster

Director Sidney Hayers' finest film, and one of the key early 60's black and white classics. A psychology professor who lectures on (and dismisses) superstition, discovers his wife has been placing protective charms around him. She claims they are responsible for his career advancement and well-being. He forces her to burn them all, only to unleash the true terror of what surrounds him.

Unlike the more graphic UK poster, the US campaign stressed the elegaic and sensuous side of the film, best exemplified in this Insert artwork.
