The granddaddy of the killer virus genre, this dispassionate take on scientists responding to an alien threat has dated less than most other sci-fi films of the era. Utilising split-screen, heavy coloured lighting and blank settings, Robert Wise's film remains a modernist nightmare, with ground-breaking effects from Douglas Trumbull, flawed protagonists and a great twist in that the power of the atom isn't always the answer.

Condition: GOOD - multiple pinholes, paper loss BR edge and surface scuffs BL. Some tape mends to rear.
