Sporting Vincent Price as the voice of villain Professor Ratigan, this rodent version of Sherlock Holmes is standard Disney fare, although it's unusual in that every single scene takes place at night. Basil investigates the abduction of a toy-maker and ultimately uncovers a dastardly plot against the Queen. With a climax inspired by the Japanese anime The Castle of Cagliostro (1979) in the grinding cogs of Big Ben Tower, it was the first Disney film to extensively use CGI.
