Broadcast News (1987) Polish Poster

James L Brook’s romantic comedy drama given the Polish treatment by Andrzej Pągowski, which revolves around three television news workers. One is a neurotic workaholic, the second (her best friend) an ambitious writer keen to get on camera, and the third a handsome TV anchor, who knows he was hired for his charm, and not his journalistic skills. For a film with a limited initial release, it went on to earn a highly respectable worldwide profit, and garnered seven Oscar nominations, for Best Picture, all three leads, screenplay, cinematography and editing.
