A horror double bill, with the great Vic Diaz, the king of Filipino exploitation cinema in both. Daughters of Satan was prolific TV director Hollingsworth Morse’s only feature film, with the first starring role for Tom Selleck. He buys a painting of witches being burned at the stake, one of whom is a dead ringer for his wife. Cue centuries-old possession, and a coven bent on revenge. Good performances and an overblown plot make it more fun than it has any right to be.

Superbeast grafts The Island of Dr Moreau to The Most Dangerous Game, with John Chambers providing the monster makeup. Having driven medical subjects insane with his experiments, Dr Fleming lets the mutated creatures out into the jungle, where they are hunted by his financier, Harry Lauter in his final role. It's best remembered for the 'erotic' scene between Antoinette and one of the missing links.
