Incredible Mr Limpet (1964) UK Quad Poster

Rubber faced Don Knotts again – this time as a 4-F Navy clerk turning into a fish and battling German U-Boats. A neat animation / live action mix that still looks pretty good today, post Roger Rabbit, given the animators came up against the same interactive problems.

Director Arthur Lubin had been around since the early talkies, and nursemaided the Francis the Talking Mule series (plus the TV Mr Ed version) as well as Hold That Ghost and the Claude Rains version of The Phantom of the Opera (43).
