Charles B. Pierce started with The Legend of Boggy Creek (1972), but went onto the acclaimed The Town that Dreaded Sundown (1976). Between them came Winterhawk, a revenge tale of a double-crossed Indian seeking help for his tribe, only to fight fire with fire, resulting in his pursuit. The posse is filled with a perfect B cast; Woody Strode, L.Q. Jones, Elisha Cook Jr., Arthur Hunnicutt and Dennis Fimple. It even has a role for Sacheen Littlefeather, best known for declining Marlon Brando's Best Actor Oscar for The Godfather in 1973. No flies on Charles when it comes to exploitation.

For what is an undistinguished poster, it's a surprise to discover that The Lost World of Sinbad in American International's second release of Toho Studio's version of Sinbad, inevitably starring Toshirô Mifune. But the potential of the piratical incarnation is thrown away by director Senkicki Taniguchi, who's best remembered for the original version of the spy film Woody Allen eviscerated in his brilliant spoof What's Up Tiger Lily? (1966).
