Mondo Cane No. 2 (1963) UK Quad Poster
The second Mondo instalment from Gualtiero Jacopetti, Paolo Cavara and Franco Prosperi, who scored with the original film the year before. With a running time of 102 minutes, and a naturally episodic structure, it was easy to remove material deemed unsuitable for a particular territory. Hence a 72 minute Brazilian cut, a 76 minute R-rated version for the States and so on.
If features more of what the original offered - Transvestite bar, Religious fanatics, slavery, weird rituals and dances, with-it musical and artistic happenings, dying flamingos, self-immolation of Buddhist monks. A not often remarked fact is that the English voice over was provided by no other than Hercule Poirot and Disney's Prince John - Peter Ustinov.
Condition: VERY GOOD / FINE - top edge dinks and folds
