Scared to Death (1980) UK Quad Poster

Director William Malone sold practically everything he had to make the film - it turned a profit and launched his career. Scared to Death starts as a serial killer mystery, and morphs into an earth-bound Alien rip-off. He followed it with Titan Find (1985) which was essentially the same film. A proper apprenticeship in TV with W.E.I.R.D. World (1995), a couple of episodes of Tales From the Crypt (1994-1996) and two Sleepwalkers episodes (1998) gave him the credentials to make the starry remake of House on Haunted Hill (1999) and Feardotcom (2002).

Artist: Tom Chantrell - with a bevy of his standard reference poses - the model shown twice at bottom centre, was the same one he used on The Hills Have Eyes double bill - note the ring!
