Advertising the second home viewing release (replacing all the cut portions that a pre-watershed version had lost) this extraordinary series originally played in the UK in 1976 - 1977. Its two series were watched avidly by disbelieving BBC2 viewers, as alliances were forged and betrayed amidst bloody violence, whirling swordplay and bookended with gnomic quotes from Bert Kwouk. Television bliss.

From the classic early Chinese novel, this Japanese production has Atsuo Nakamura playing Lin Chung, an honorable hero at odds with the corrupt local officials, leading a group of 108 outlaws from their base at Liang Shan Po to fight injustice. Or basically, kill everyone in sight.
